I treat individuals, couples and families.  Years of study, practice and life experience have taught me that, though not every problem will be solved, every problem can change for the better, the burden lightened, when shared. About Nancy Weisman

I’ve been a licensed psychologist for nearly 30 years.  Today, my primary activity is therapy, but I used to spend time doing research as well – first, biomedical and, later, research in neuropsychology. I am committed to evidence based practice, but, that said, I’ve found our lives are remarkably varied, often venturing beyond the territory covered by science.   That’s where the art of therapy lies, where we’re called on to use all that we know and improvise.  I see our work as a collaborative effort.  I will listen and probe to understand how you see things.  I’ll ask questions and throw out ideas for you to consider – to accept, modify, or reject.  It is a learning process for everyone, where I will share what I’ve learned so you can develop your own unique understanding and way forward.
